Christmas Charity Pattern 2021 ~ Noel Embroidery

Hello everyone.  As promised in our newsletter last week, today I am sharing this years Charity Pattern. As we sit down to enjoy our Christmas dinner, we know that not everyone will be as fortunate. So, our chosen charity this year is The Trussell Trust, who support a nationwide network of food banks across the UK and together they provide emergency food and support to those locked in poverty. The embroidery pattern will be free as a little thank you from us to you, but we would ask that if at all possible, you could make a charity donation as well, this could then be used to help someone in need…. together we can make a difference.

I also just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone who has already made a donation on the back of the newsletter before I had even shared the pattern, it is very much appreciated!

This year, I have designed a little festive embroidery for you to stitch.  You can download and print the pattern HERE.

You will need to transfer the pattern to your fabric, HERE's how I do it.

I stitched my embroidery using DMC Embroidery threads with 2 strands separated from the main strand of floss in my needle.  I used the following colours:

Letters ~ #762
Holly Leaves ~ #520
Holly Berries & Bow ~ #816
Ivy ~ #3052
Mistletoe ~ #3023
Mistletoe Berries ~ Blanc
Fir Branch ~ #3022

Here's a little stitch guide for you, but feel free to substitute for your favourite stitches......

I made my embroidery into a little decorative hanger, with the addition of some jingly bells, as I have the perfect spot in my kitchen to hang it next weekend when we put up our Christmas decorations.  But equally, it would look lovely at the centre of a cushion, may be with some contrasting fabrics either side or on a Christmas stocking..... ohhh the possibilities!

I can not wait to see what you make.  Please use the hashtag so I can take a peek:

#CHRISTMASATPFT

Finally, please remember if you can, to make a donation, and help make a huge  difference to someone in need.........

Very best wishes and festive happy stitches,

Sarah xo
