This cushion makes me feel happy...... it may have taken me ages, I started it way back HERE.....and that burst of happiness I felt when I started, continued throughout every little stitch...... and continued right up to the moment when I slipped on the cover and plumped up the inner. My only regret, I did't learn to crochet years ago....but thank goodness I can now....all be it very slowly!
Edited to add: I've just seen that Drops Muskat I used is on offer HERE.
Beautiful Sarah!!!!!! Really lovely, I like the way that you did the back as one big square to contrast with the smaller ones of the front and I really like your joining method too. I look forward to seeing more crocheting from you in the future when time allows. Hope that the sale goes well, just off to have a look although I am trying not to buy anything right now! xx
ReplyDeleteYou've done a lovely job with this very pretty cushion Sarah - full steam ahead now then, with crochet? It's never too late, I only started a couple of years ago and you know my age!!! I have to balance my crafts these days though, otherwise I suffer sore hands and wrists, but I do like a bit of variety anyway. I hope your summer sale exceeds all expectations - all the best, xoJoy
ReplyDeleteGreat job - the cushion is lovely. It's so satifying to make something yourself,
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised it makes you happy Sarah - it's gorgeous ! So neatly done too. Here's to many more cushions of happiness ♥

Your new cushion is so lovely!! I love all the colours you used... Thanks for letting us know about.the yarn sale. I've recently finished making my own crocheted cushion cover and I used Drops Cotton Light yarn. I'd like to get some more--the colours are fantastic and they're great value too. ...Have a wonderful weekend! x

Well done Sarah! It's is the *prettiest* crochet cushion, but of course that suits your style perfectly! I love how happy crochet makes you, much like the happy I'm feeling with my sewing...hooray for expanding our talents! ;-) Chrissie xxx
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! It always feels great to finish things doesn't it? jo x
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! It's very like one I made two years ago, little granny squares edged in white, and it was the first crocheted thing I made and I was SO proud of it. I still am. You have such an exciting crochet journey ahead of you Sarah! x
